Scott has successfully funded over $65 million in loans and equipment leases for cannabis business owners since 2014 and is a well-known speaker on the cannabis trade show circuit as well as has appeared on Fox – San Francisco, the Denver Post Cannabist show, Forbes magazine, CFN media and many more.

Scott has a passion for helping cannabis business owners achieve a “level playing field” and financial parity and works tirelessly to help each client obtain the capital they need to have access to the assets to grow their business at the best terms available in the marketplace.

Alex Jordan

Director of Operations

Alex Jordan is in charge of operations and the digital assets of AFN. He has a degree in computer sciences from the Colorado State University in Fort Collins. They have worked together since 2009 in the financial services field.

Alex is a big Broncos fan and plays hockey and skis when he is not spending time with his wife and dog.

John Thompson

Vice President of Finance

John has 40 years of financial experience with 30 years of experience in various CFO positions and 10 years as a Corporate Controller.

In 2011, John formed CFO Business Advisors LLC to bring affordable CFO services to small and medium-sized businesses who otherwise could not afford a full-time CFO.

John is known for attracting funding for newly formed and existing organizations using CFO Business Advisors’ strategic planning methodology and presentation techniques developed over decades of real-world experience as a hands-on financial executive. In addition, he is experienced in corporate turnarounds, merging financial operations, growing companies through strategic acquisitions, and developing fruitful relationships with investment banking firms, commercial banks, and financial lenders of all kinds.

John’s industry experience includes manufacturing, retail, electronics distribution, apparel, wholesale, subcontracting, travel/hospitality, healthcare, internet advertising, agricultural distribution, transportation, and financial services.  In public accounting, John’s industry experience also included a multibillion-dollar wood products company, multiple oil & gas limited partnerships, hospitals, and hospitality companies.

John has an MBA in Accounting and a BA in Business Administration and CPA from the University of Washington.
